Editorial Policy

This page explains how Walk & Ride Korea decides what to publish, how facts are checked, and what we do when something turns out to be wrong.

What we write about

Practical travel information for visitors to South Korea who travel by public transport and on foot: routes, stations, exits, fares, neighborhoods, food etiquette and everyday logistics. We do not write about topics we cannot verify, and we avoid vague superlatives such as “best in Korea” unless a clear basis is given.

How guides are researched

  • Transit and fare information is checked against official operators and city or national tourism sources.
  • Prices are given as approximate ranges or labelled with the year, because they change.
  • Rules and customs (for example tipping, tax refund conditions, or Culture Day discounts) are checked against the official body that sets them where one exists.
  • Where sources disagree or information is thin, the guide says so instead of guessing.

Original writing

Every guide is written specifically for this site. We do not copy text from other sites, and we do not publish the same guide under different titles.

Images

Images are AI-generated illustrations, not photographs of real venues, unless a caption states otherwise. They are decorative and explanatory; they are never used as proof that a business offers a particular dish, price or service.

Updates and corrections

Time-sensitive guides are reviewed regularly. If you find an error, use the Contact page and include the guide name and what has changed. Confirmed errors are corrected in the guide itself.

Advertising and affiliate links

Advertising and affiliate relationships never decide what we recommend. Any commission links are disclosed in the Affiliate Disclaimer.

Who is responsible
